1 -Evaporative cooling : How does it work ?

When water evaporates it uses thermal energy and absorbs heat. The absorption of these calories has the effect of reducing the temperature in the area in which this exchange takes place. 

All CLIMEXT® Misting Systems diffuse micro-droplets of water throughout the area to be cooled, in the form of an ultra-fine mist that evaporates instantly. In this way, the temperature is reduced by several degrees.

 

CLIMEXT® cools without wetting !

 

The extreme finesse of the micro-droplets that come out of a CLIMEXT® unit or Misting Fan allows the droplets and the air to mix instantaneously.  Moreover, all of our Misting Systems are fitted with an Anti-drip system (with the exception of the CLIMEXT® Compact model). When the system is switched off, the diffusing nozzles do not drip.

 

The Tempo Timing Box is equipped with a dual timing device that controls the CLIMEXT® Mister appliance and enables you to adjust droplet diffusion according to the area that requires cooling.  The user can choose the level of cooling and avoid excess humidity.

The most common application for evaporative cooling is for improving people’s comfort. It can be implemented in areas such as :

and especially in all the places where it is very difficult or impossible to implement traditional air-conditioning as a cooling solution.  Misting and air-conditioning are therefore complementary methods!

 

When used for areas with livestock, the natural cooling provided by High Pressure Misting is beneficial to the comfort of poultry and cows, and therefore directly improves the farm’s profitability.

 

In agriculture, CLIMEXT® Misting Systems can be used in market gardening, greenhouses or in the sales area.

 

2 - Humidification

CLIMEXT® Misting Systems make it possible to maintain both the temperature and surrounding hygrometry.

 

In certain industrial production or storage sectors, controlling humidity level is essential to the process.

 

The food sector is one such example that benefits from numerous applications of CLIMEXT® High Pressure Misting Systems. Maintaining air coolness and moisture avoids rapid spoiling of fresh produce caused by the on-shelf drying out of fruit and vegetables, fish or meat.

 

3 - Dust control

Due to the nature of their activities, certain operations generate dust that is a source of pollution for the staff, the environment and the equipment. By installing a CLIMEXT® High Pressure Misting System, dust is weighed down by the surrounding hygrometry or sucked down by moving micro-droplets as they evaporate thus causing it to fall directly to the ground instead of being dispersed in the atmosphere.

 

The textile industry is one example of a straightforward application.

Controlling dust in factories, quarries and cement plants can be more of a challenge, but benefits hugely from the CLIMEXT® High Pressure Misting process.

 

Public work sites, including diggers and demolition equipment, can be fitted with CLIMEXT® High Pressure Misting Systems and therefore overcome the consequences of dust emission.

 

4 - Aero propagation : treatment of odours, disinfectant…

When a specific product is diluted in water before reaching the CLIMEXT® High Pressure Misting System it will be efficiently propagated in the surrounding atmosphere or treatment area.

 

Chemical or organic waste handling is an example of odour treatment, as is adding scent to enhance an area designated for relaxation.

 

Sanitizing poultry farms is a process that protects the poultry from the risks of infection.

 

5 –Specific industrial processes

In an industrial environment, CLIMEXT® High Pressure Misting Systems can prove particularly efficient either to speed a cooling process while saving water, to reduce static electricity, to facilitate demoulding or to maintain relative hygrometry in a paint chamber.

 

6 –Decorative Misting

Whether it is used to embellish park areas or the base of a water feature, mist reminds us of the importance of water in our lives. In much the same way as with fountains, this new style of decoration leads to well-being, calm and lightness.
When combined with projected coloured images, a living background can be created.

In the film industry, misting simulates misty or foggy atmospheres.
