Misting Systems : How do CLIMEXT® units work?

 

Described in the order of water flow, CLIMEXT® Misting Systems can be divided into 5 main stages :

1. Filtration of sediments :
   Connected directly to the town water supply, sediment filtration is carried out by a fine meshed cartridge filter that prevents the particles present in water from disrupting the High Pressure unit or diffusion through the nozzles.
   
   
2. High Pressure Unit :
   The High Pressure unit provides water at 60 bars.  This is an essential stage to obtain optimal output from the diffusing nozzles.
   
   
3. Circulation of fluids :
   CLIMEXT® Connectors, specifically made for Misting, are easy to use with nylon High Pressure tubes and are perfectly water-tight, just like the Quick Connectors that are used with the Flexible High Pressure Hoses.
   This system is suitable for most fluids to be misted. Certain applications will require stainless steel tubes and connectors.
   
   
4. The Anti-drip system :
   It comprises two elements :
   - the anti-drip itself : once the water has been turned off, it blocks the opening to the Nozzle. When the water is turned back on, it allows the water to pass through to the Nozzle.
   - the 3-Way High Pressure relief solenoid valve that activates the anti-drip when the water is shut off, through instant pressure discharge.
   
   
5.  Misting :
   This is carried out by the Nozzles, the characteristics of which are chosen depending on the application and the area to be misted.
   In some cases, Misting can be combined with specific ventilation : CLIMEXT® invented the term Misting Fan!
   
   All CLIMEXT® Misting Systems have a 60 bar pressure to optimize the Nozzles’ output in terms of the micronisation of the fluid to be misted.

In this way, with the exception of the CLIMEXT® Compact Misting Fan, CLIMEXT® Misting Systems are protected and controlled by the Tempo Timing Box, which in turn is commanded by :

1. the safety pressure gauge in the event of a drop in water pressure,
2. the remote control,
3. the Temperature and Moisture Control Unit for regulation of hygrometry and/or temperature,
4. any other system such as traffic sensors,...

Other equipment may be added on to these 5 main stages, depending on your specific requirements, for the water treatment(particle filter, UVc filter…) and it is also possible to add products to the water (odour treatments, disinfectants, dust control…)
